Some time ago I watched a movie that I connected to instantly. The message was so powerful and it brought me back to.....
the Power of Prayer. This movie had me contemplating whether or not I really needed my closet for clothes. Yes I am speaking about The War Room. Based off the book Fervent by Priscilla Shirer. The War Room was such a powerful lesson for me. Just understanding the power of prayer and how God heals. How praying over the things and people in your life is so important. How God's grace moves. In the movie an elderly woman shows the main character wife how to pray. She instructs her to remove all the items from her closet and replace it with the items that are needed prayer. Now for someone like me who literally has no closet space whats so ever, and two kids who won't let me even go to the bathroom in peace. I wanted to figure out how I could create my own "War Room". So I came up with this idea The War Box. I went to TJMaxx and purchased this cute box that just spoke to me and I filled it with a few things. My favorite bible, a journal and a prayer devotional book. In my War Box I wrote scriptures on the inside lid as well as tapped pictures of things that I am praying over for my life and other trinkets that symbolize something of importance.
Everyone knows as a mom you don't have too many places you can hide so now with my War Box where ever I can find some sort of solitude I take my box with me and pray, reflect and be thankful. Every day I would spend time with my War Box, even a few times a day spending time with myself and God. It's my little place of self discovery and reflection on what God brings me to understand. So if you are reading this and you need all the closet space you have or can't hide in one spot without people finding you try this idea. If you are on Instagram use the hashtag #theWarBox and let me know how it has helped you. :)
